[GitHub] groovy pull request: make private methods static when they are pur...

GitHub user oreissig opened a pull request:

    https://github.com/apache/groovy/pull/261

    make private methods static when they are pure functions

    Just a minor thing: Most AST transformations are stateless and only pass data via arguments, which allows to treat a lot of their helper methods as static functions.

You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running:

    $ git pull https://github.com/oreissig/groovy use-static-where-possible

Alternatively you can review and apply these changes as the patch at:

    https://github.com/apache/groovy/pull/261.patch

To close this pull request, make a commit to your master/trunk branch
with (at least) the following in the commit message:

    This closes #261
