ExtendedPatternLayout throwable format do not work

Hi,

Are there any known issues in this ?

%throwable{compact}   --  only prints the first line.
%throwable{15}   --  only prints the first line.
%throwable{-5}   --  only prints the first line.

%throwable{0} -- only prints the first line



Ex:
<appender name="RollingFile"
class="org.apache.log4j.DailyRollingFileAppender">
<param name="File" value="../logs/active/maas_app.log" />
<param name="DatePattern" value="'.'yyyy-MM-dd" />
<param name="Append" value="true" />
<param name="Threshold" value="DEBUG" />
<layout class="org.apache.log4j.EnhancedPatternLayout">
<param name="ConversionPattern"
value="%m %throwable{compact} %n" />
</layout>
</appender>

OutPut:
    all stack traces are on separate lines, I am expecting them to be in a
single line.

Searched the source code and looks like "compact" is not at all there.   Is
this available in 1.1 extras?
