configureing context.xml file in tomcat to setClientID
I am using embedded active mq in my web app with durable subscriptions. I
currently use spring to set up my connectionfactory for activeMQ and all
that. what i wanted to know was how do i configure my connection factory
through my context.xml so specify the clientID so i dont have to explicitly
call setClientID in my code?

You can use the connection URI to specify that. See:
http://activemq.org/site/connection-configuration-uri.html
It would be something like:
tcp://localhost:61616?jms.clientID=MyID
