The test framework for drill has been in development for six months now, and is currently being checked into a private fork at the following location:

https://github.com/zhiyongliu/incubator-drill/tree/master/testing

There is a README.MD file that details how the framework works.  The drill QE team is now requesting that the framework be reviewed and pushed into the main fork.
