> Metrics for overall replication backlog length
> ----------------------------------------------
>
> Key: HBASE-16307
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HBASE-16307
> Project: HBase
> Issue Type: Sub-task
> Components: Replication
> Reporter: Matt Mullins
> Priority: Minor
>
> With Zookeeper storing replication information, we have been able to use the znode count as a stand-in for the volume of replication that has yet to occur. It would be nice to (a) maintain a similar metric with the new replication implementation, and possibly (b) improve upon that metric by making it an intentional indicator of replication.
