My related issue to this is that I don't use pax-jdbc because for years, it was using an outdated dbcp version. Thus, I used dbcp2 and blueprint manually to get DataSource OSGi services, and in Karaf 3, they show up and are usable with the jdbc commands. Now they are gone in Karaf 4 as this bug reports.
