Metrics Module and GSoC Day 2

Hi,

I'm still reading about the metrics library. This module was added months ago (https://github.com/apache/dubbo/pull/1966 <https://github.com/apache/dubbo/pull/1966> - [Dubbo-1922] Add Dubbo metrics API) and removed recently (https://github.com/apache/dubbo/pull/3643 <https://github.com/apache/dubbo/pull/3643>).

I understand that MetricsFilter is kind of service between the metrics library and dubbo-monitor. Is there any plan to merge again the metrics module? I saw that the repository's name is still Alibaba.

I'm working on collect CPU usage and maybe I'll work with MetricsCollector. I'm just worried because they collect statistics on the Interface/Method level.

Thanks,

The metrics library is just like 3rd party libraries as others. IMO,
there is no plan to move unless the community decided to, at least
there should be no change during GSoc.
