Cool. Added that to the report [1], "Provide instructions for people
to build, install and evaluate EMSE by themselves", hope this is ok
with you guys.

This is all information that should be included in the Apache ESME web-site. I'm working on creating a next version soon. Won't be able to upload it directly but I'd probably do it indirectly via Jira.

Ok, but are there instructions on how to build, start and test ESME somewhere?

(mostly curious at this stage, not necessarily needed for the report)

@Dick:
I will make sure we finish the report next week.

Suggestion for goal for the next period:
Web UI.

There are three different ESME installations:

* http://www.esme.us/esme/ -- Old Google Code based ESME
* http://esmecloudserverapache.dickhirsch.staxapps.net/ - latest Apache-based ESME
* http://esmecloudserver.dickhirsch.staxapps.net/ - ESME with test UI

Cool, thanks!

Is there an easy way for outsiders to build/evaluate/demonstrate ESME
currently?
Try out ESME in 15 minutes?

I haven't tried lately, but if not that would IMHO be another thing to
improve, to build a larger community.

Is there an easy way for outsiders to build/evaluate/demonstrate ESME
currently?
Try out ESME in 15 minutes?

I haven't tried lately, but if not that would IMHO be another thing to

Thanks for this, and have fun on vacation ;-)

Note that an important point to report on is "the project's top 2 or 3
things to resolve prior to graduation", do people have suggestions for
this? Feel free to edit http://wiki.apache.org/incubator/February2009
directly.

Things still happen n on twitter and ESME blog. We try and move most
things on to the mailing list as much as possible.

Google Group is now inactive regarding the ESME server but still used
for the ESME clients.

Good point about moving everything to mailing list - I've added it to
the February Report

That's not necessarily bad at this point, but that might be one thing
to improve before graduation: bring everything here, discussions,
docs, code, etc. I assume the Google Code project will be made
inactive at some point, do you guys have plans for this?

I've started our report for February. The report is due in 5 days. I'll be on vacation next week, so someone else is going to have to follow up on it.

Any suggestions for our goals for the next reporting period?
