Strange Flume Network Hangup

Hello All:

I'm trying to get flume humming for our jsp logging.

My problem is that when I start flume tail on a catalina.out, I see
the first 40 or so lines.  Then, flume hangs and never sends the rest
of the events.

In netstat, the send-q gets to the hundreds of thousands, but never gets sent.

I'm on ubuntu 10.04 on aws.

Can anyone provide any insight on what to look at?
