[I] Can't find code for 10.1.0 [incubator-kie-tools]
westmc opened a new issue, #3221:

We are also running into https://github.com/apache/incubator-kie-drools/issues/6410 so we tried to patch 10.1.0, but we can't find the commit for it. The tag 10.1.0 doesn't match the code in the 10.1.0 release (specifically drools-core). It also doesn't match the 10.1.x branch. We also couldn't compile 10.1.0 using mvn package with either the 10.1.0 tag or the 10.1.x branch. We had to use the the 10.1.0 sources jar to get the correct source for drools-core.

Oops, I noticed that my previous guide `mvn clean install -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8` was wrong.
Solution:
- Set `-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8` for `MAVEN_OPTS`. Then run `mvn`.
for example) in command prompt,
```
cd drools-decisiontables
set MAVEN_OPTS=-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8
mvn clean install
```
`MAVEN_OPTS` directly affects as JVM option. I confirmed that it solves the issue on my end (Windows10). Please try. Of course, you have already removed the java files in problem, so you may not need to try this approach :)

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, `drools-test-coverage/test-suite/src/test/java/org/drools/testcoverage/functional/UnicodeTest.java` has inner classes of Unicode name, too, so deleting it solves the error.
What is your OS and platform encoding?

Regarding the build error `java.nio.charset.UnmappableCharacterException: Input length = 1`, it happens when platform encoding is not `UTF-8`. Please try `mvn clean install -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8`.

I created a branch from the 10.1.0 tag and tried to build the entire project, but I received an error (java 17 with maven 3.9.11). I then compiled just drools-core successfully. We deployed our app and ran into an issue because ObjectTypeNodeId was missing. In the 10.1.0 tag, it is in drools-base, but in the 10.1.0 jar and sources jar, it is in drools-core.
I tried the 10.1.x branch and it also wouldn't compile with the same error. I tried to find the commit in 10.1.x branch that 10.1.0 was based off, but there doesn't seem to be one.

One other note. the unit tests don't pass if maven is run in multi-thread mode. It will compile in multi-thread mode with `-DskipTests`

No luck with `-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8`. I also tried it with`-Dproject.build.sourceEncoding=UTF-8 -Dproject.reporting.outputEncoding=UTF-8` Same error

The 10.1.0 tag is pointing to commit https://github.com/apache/incubator-kie-tools/commit/fd31e2ee2d265b2dabeffdadf4e27b4518b9e43d which doesn't exist to any branch and doesn't match the 10.1.0 release jar (see my previous comment about ObjectTypeNodeId).
Trying to run `mvn clean package -e` on either the 10.1.0 tag or the 10.1.x branch both result in the same error

No luck with `-Dfile.encoding=UTF-8 -Dproject.build.sourceEncoding=UTF-8 -Dproject.reporting.outputEncoding=UTF-8` either but I did get it to compile after deleting UnicodeTest.java (no extra file encoding flags necessary).

I created a branch from the 10.1.0 tag and tried to build the entire project, but I received an error (java 17 with maven 3.9.11). I then compiled just drools-core successfully. We deployed our app and ran into an issue because ObjectTypeNodeId was missing. In the 10.1.0 tag, it is in drools-base, but in the 10.1.0 jar and sources jar, it is in drools-core.
I tried the 10.1.x branch and it also wouldn't compile with the same error. I tried to find the commit in 10.1.x branch that 10.1.0 was based off, but there doesn't seem to be one.

One other note. the unit tests don't pass if maven is run in multi-thread mode. It will compile in multi-thread mode with `-DskipTests`
