James Version Through Telnet

I was wondering if there was any way to disable James from notifying connecting users what mail server (i.e. James) and version number is listening to their request. This is for security reasons. In Postfix you can disable this so that no information is given to probers, but I cannot find a way to do this with James 2.3.2 or James 3.

Thanks!

Hi,

Customizing the hello message would be indeed a nice feature (I've
already felt the need), but is not supported by James (not in 3, and
prolly also not in 2.3).

If you want a quick fix for James3, you could recompile a jar.
Otherwise, please open a JIRA for thi
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JAMES

Thx, Eric
