FINERACT-38: Period Close feature where inc & exp booked to

Devs,
What is the status of this key issue that has been raised by Ippez,
Can we prioritize on it?

I've looked at the ticket. This looks like a good enhancement and has been
delayed since Nov, with January being the month that many organizations
attempt to do year end closing. +1 to boost its importance.
Is there a set of test data for this to make sure it does what is
expected? I am looking at the 39 files changed and don't see a test set
there.
This seems significant enough of a change to make sure a) that a regression
test exists and b) that the behavior is demonstrated as expected
