Eric makes an excellent suggestion about looking at earlier versions
of the code. Howerver, just about all the classes in Turbine 3 and
friends have Turbine 2 equivalents (though the opposite may not be
true).

what is the password?
P.S.
What is $renderer? I cannot seem to find it in
velocity or turbine (like $link is a turbine
function).
Thanks,
josef

Scarab lives on the bleeding edge, but it's code is in CVS
so you can check out older versions to see what it looked
like when it was using turbine-2. For example:
% cvs -d :pserver:guest@cvs.tigris.org:/cvs login
% cvs -d :pserver:guest@cvs.tigris.org:/cvs co -D 2001-07-01 scarab
I don't know if July will get you what you're looking for,
you may have to go back further than that.

I am currently looking at Scarab. It makes use of
Turbine 3.x and Velocity 1.3. Not very helpful if you
have Turbine 2.x and Velocity 1.2..
