[jira] [Created] (KARAF-4689) custom.properties should have option
to add system packages *without* overriding defaults
Tim Hull created KARAF-4689:
-------------------------------
Summary: custom.properties should have option to add system packages *without* overriding defaults
Key: KARAF-4689
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KARAF-4689
Project: Karaf
Issue Type: New Feature
Affects Versions: 3.0.8, 4.0.6
Reporter: Tim Hull
In custom.properties, we can specify a value for org.osgi.framework.system.packages.extra to add our own system packages above and beyond those in the default Karaf distribution. However, by using this option we override the default value in config.properties. Could a new option be added that would add additional packages for a custom distribution without overriding the default? It seems clumsy to have to copy all the default packages from config.properties to custom.properties...
