Encoding problem in OM

Hi:

    Can I control the encoding of myOmInstance.getXXX()
    The problem I met is, encoding of myOmInstance.getXXX() is "GBK" and b4 I save it, the encoding should be set "8859_1" (required by database) for all the fields.

    So where to define the encoding of all myOmInstance.getXXX()? Or a place to rewrite the encoding transformation?
