Limit vhost connection?

Hi,
I'm looking for ways to limit the amount of connections on vhost's
on the modules.apache.org
I found http://www.nowhere-land.org/programs/mod_vhost_limit/
Is there any other ways to do this? Maybe in each vhost config?
Or has anyone tried the above module? If so how did it work out?
