Hi Kan,
Sounds interesting. I'm pretty sure there isn't any current work going on in this area.

I'd suggest you send a note to our dev list outlining how you plan on approaching the problem. This would give people a chance to comment before you do too much coding. 

Hopefully we can hear from someone who's been working on j2g, also...
