query XML-Data

Hi,

has anybody a solution to query XML-Data-Files for dynamic publishing? I
don't want to use a DBMS. I'm going to use XML-Files as Data-container
instead.
Is there any usable query-implementation for XML-Data, that is useable in
conjunction with cocoon-publishing?
