Can we guess that you are using FTP and not the default M$FP2k method as the
publishing scenario? And can we guess that you are using a local ID and PW
on the box itself - I don't believe you can authenticate thru the Apache
system to your domain controller - or can you ???

???

I have installed Apache Web Server for NT in my LAN. And I want to modify
the INDEX.HTML file from my Notebook using MS Frontpage.

But when I enter the the site name, Frontpage ask me about username and
password. Where should I enter the username/password entry in Apache or this
is should be enter in WIN NT?
  i'm sorry i'm new to the list, but i'm extremely knowlegeable on apache,
  what's your problem and what are you trying to accomplish?

  But i don't have FTP Server installed. I see some web server could logon without FTP.
  Any other suggestion ?
    It would be the username and password of the ftp user that has rights to write to the directory.

Sorry about the lack of info - I just sent a mail in a while ago with
the same type of problem, in which I specified a bit more (just before
sending the mail you actually responded to).
In fact, after a cup of coffee, I figured it out - now I'm trying to get
PHP to work without breaking stuff..

Thanx!

Bro, I am sure the guys on the modperl@apache.org list would be good help.

To subscribe to the list, send a message to:
   <mo...@apache.org>

Let me/them know what version of apache, mod_perl, compiler and perl you are
using on what system type.

Hello all,

I got as far as configuring and installing httpd without mod_perl in it,
and installing it in the right place. Now I'm trying to put mod_perl
into the mix, and do that again, but it seems to be a bit stubborn: it
keeps the Apache (default) layout, even if I put the proper commands on
the configure line, pass them to APACI with the Makefile.PL, etc.

Can't seem to get this right, but should be possible.. any pointers?

Greetz!

I am sorry but you have not told use anything about your setup, so it is
very hard to guess what your problem can be.
