[Bug 50335] Cores dumped under high load (segmentation fault signal 11 SIGSEGV)

I'm not sure this is just a mod_proxy bug (and the fact more than just
mod_proxy is patched confirms this). I am seeing this in an entirely different
proxy ( https://github.com/abligh/apache-websocket ).

It would be really useful to understand what the non-mod_proxy changes are
doing in the patch.
