There is considerable redundancy is repeating the JT, NN and various Hive (hive-site.xml, HS2 principal, HS2 JDBC URL, HMS principal, HMS JDBC URL) properties in the workflows of an application. Not including these properties is also a common source of workflow error.

It would be easier for developers if this could be set in one place, or maybe just taken from the *-site.xmls, and used as overridable defaults across Oozie.
