I just looked at 3138.

I am the one that reopened it - but I think the work to fix it ended up
in 3155.

And that 3138 just didn't get updated to indicate that it was fixed (by
fixing 3155).

Does that sound correct?

How can we review the "Release Notes" macro in JIRA. Do we have any control on this or it is a "JIRA thing" ?

Right. I'm OK with showing the JIRAs we have fixed in this release and
I am also OK with showing the outstanding issues. But in this case,
the section heading and the list do not match.

Re: RELEASE NOTES 2.0-M6

Posted by Dain Sundstrom <da...@iq80.com>.
IIRC it is caused by people marking a new issues as "affects" 2.0-M6
which is logically incorrect because an issue fixed in 2.0-M6 could
not affect that release (since it is fixed). People commonly make
this mistake because the believe that 2.0-M6-SNAPSHOT is the same
thing as 2.0-M6 so they incorrectly believe that an issue is
affecting 2.0-M6.

Good question ;-)
There is a link in JIRA that creates this list of issues automatically (aka Release Notes). We should definitively show all the issues we already fixed ( a Bug fixes section maybe), and agree, Known issues and limitations should show exactly that, things we have not addressed yet.

I think there was some discussion about this some time ago, I'll see if I can find it.

Cheers!

Wait a min. All those JIRAs in the release notes are in CLOSED/FIXED
state. But why are they under the "Known Issues and Limitations"
section ?

In any case, GERONIMO-3138 has been reopened. It should now be taken
off the list

I believe Anita's multiple instances work is now closed and has gone in M6.

I'm editing the release notes to affect this change.

just want to reiterate the "Significant Changes in the 2.0-M6 Release" section is the one that needs more attention.
That would basically be a diff between M5 and M6. Need your input !!!
