File BC Clustering Support

Does the Apache SMX File BC provide clustering support whereby the same
endpoint deployed to a cluster of ESB nodes can read/write file to/from a
directory on a shared file system? The technique used by OpenESB to support
clustering is described at
http://wiki.open-esb.java.net/Wiki.jsp?page=FileBindingComponentClusteringSupportImplementation.
Does the SMX File BC provide similar clustering support?

After a quick read of the URL above, I can see that the
servicemix-file component is not as sophisticated as the OpenESB file
component. But being that ServiceMix is open source, anyone can
contribute enhancements. Do you have any interest in improving the
servicemix-file component, Ron?

Nevermind, I see that JIRA https://issues.apache.org/activemq/browse/SM-725
already exists for precisely this issue.

Should I open a JIRA to track this enhancement to the servicemix-file BC?

Hi Bruce,

This feature is on radar, however I will likely not get to it for another
month or two.

My priorities were just changed and now I have a need for this, so
I'll be working on it as well. Ron, have you made any progress yet?

My apologies for the duplicate messages today. Nabble was giving me fits
today which ended up causing numerous duplicate messages.

BTW, do you think the pluggable servicemix-file lockManager would be the
appropriate mechanism to implement the required distributed file
synchronization?
