jar files

What is the difference between the 1.1.3 log4j.jar and the log4j-core.jar?
Do I need both in my classpath?

Re: jar files

This should be asked on the users list - the developers list is for
those who develop log4j.

To answer your question - log4j-core is a subset of log4j, and is used
in environments where you do not wish to distribute the entire log4j jar.

I think that there is some documentation on the website regarding the
differences, or you could just open the jar file and look at the
different classes.

You would only need one or the other in your classpath.

Cheers,
Scott
