Developement versions

Can someone give me some description of developement versions 1.2.2 and 1.3?
Are they stable? Shall I use 1.2.1 or better to start with one of the development
versions? What are main functional differences between them?
I consider using SMTP and POP3. IMAP4 is optional but would be nice.

I couldn't find these answers on the web and 1.3 contains README file from 1.2.2.

Nope, just get the latest in the main branch. We usually will only tag for
a versioned release.

Shall I use any tag to checkout this (2.0) version?

The latest stable version is 1.2.1. We are still working on the new
version, which I think we're planning to call 2.0 since it has a lot of
changes. However, we haven't made an alpha or beta released yet and if you
want to try this out, you'll have to use the daily builds, or build it from
CVS yourself.

1.3 is better.

Pretty. There was problems on handling "ghosted" messages problem in
1.2.x. It is no more in 1.3.

I think going with 1.3 would be good for you.

POP retrieval is a lot faster, if you use the database repository.
