Summary: workers.properties: worker "reference" tag limitations
Product: Tomcat 5
Version: 5.5.17
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Connector:AJP
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: bouzafr@yahoo.com
Hello,
The reference tag only works up to 18 different workers.
I have 11 domains. Each domain has two workers domain_01,domain_02 up to the ninth domain (18
workers) everything goes fine. On each one I do a reference tag for some standard variables. When I
add the worker number 19 on the 10th domain i get this on the Apache error log:
[Mon Dec 18 11:40:50 2006] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec)
[Mon Dec 18 11:40:50 2006] [emerg] Error in resolving configuration references
If I commented it it works again. I tough I was mispelling something so I just copy paste one of the
other domains change some values and the behavior was the same.
Thank you.

I expect this to be the same as 40774. It should be fixed in 1.2.20. The release
vote on 1.2.20 ends on Thursday. Voting until now looks good. If you like, you
can already get the release candidate from
http://people.apache.org/~rjung/mod_jk-1.2.20-dev/
