Encoding in source files
Summary: Encoding in source files
Product: Slide
Version: Nightly
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: Enhancement
Priority: Other
Component: Core
AssignedTo: slide-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: jaeger@our-isp.org
The following files can not be opened with eclipse (3.0.0 under linux):
src/webdav/server/org/apache/slide/webdav/logger/XHttpServletResponseFacade.java
src/webdav/server/org/apache/slide/webdav/logger/StatusHttpServletResponseWrapper.java
src/share/org/apache/slide/extractor/PropertyExtractor.java
The error message gives:
Character encoding problems.
This file is unreadable using the "UTF-8" character encoding.
For example in PropertyExtractor there is a 0xA0 character in lines 36 and 37,
which can't be read by eclipse.
Saving it with an other editor under UTF-8 fixes the problem (deletes this
character).
