Using jackrabbit in a project with maven 2
Hi All.
I would like to use jackrabbit in a project of mine which is (currently)
using Maven 2 - is there a pom somewhere for jackrabbit that I can
reference? (please oh please gosh I do NOT want to have to set up up
myself). I searched around, and saw a fleeting reference to a Day Software
maven repo - does this exist ?

ok got it, thanks.
I am being a good boy and updating the jackrabbit wiki for others to benefit
from.

Yes, forgot about this one... I had to add this one manually...
http://www.day.com/maven/jsr170/jars/jcr-1.0.jar
<http://www.day.com/maven/jsr170/jars/jcr-1.0.jar>
just follow the maven2 instructions (as part of the error) how to add a
jar to the repository... it's just one command.

Ah just make it a wiki - then we all can ;)
Thanks Pavel, when I use that, it downloads most of jackrabbit but fails on
JCR dep:
Missing:
----------
1) jsr170:jcr:jar:1.0
One final question, it has geronimo JTA as a runtime dependency - is this
really needed here? I ask as I did not need it when running "stand alone"
for unit tests, and if it is in a container

http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-332 is still open (for 1.1 fix) but
this is for compiling Jackrabbit, just to be clear, I only want to USE
jackrabbit via maven.
Also, the jackrabbit.apache.org front page says that it is still not
released (!) and you have to build from source - I will assume that it out
of date ;)
Michael.

I just use this (standard maven2 repository):
<dependency>
<groupId>org.apache.jackrabbit</groupId>
<artifactId>jackrabbit-core</artifactId>
<version>1.0.1</version>
</dependency>
