You need to checkout branch Embperl2c e.g.

cvs co -r Embperl2c embperl

I am in the progress to move this version to the HEAD revision so this will
not be necessary in the future anymore.

Let me know if it fixes your sub problem. I think it should.

I am working on a german version of a book about Embperl. Unfortunately
there is no progress at the moment, because of my limited time. When it's
ready it maybe gets translated into english.

Gerald

Re: Embperl 2.0b9-dev3

Posted by Aaron Johnson <so...@gina.net>.
I tried it both ways, using the 2.0b8 and running the two utility
scripts. The latter didn't work or at least didn't seem to, it claimed
it was missing a typemap file. I did not run a make clean before I did
the two xs utility scripts however, would that have possibly prevented
the creation of the typemap file? Copying the xs directory from 2.0b8
got me up and running and has resolved the sub issue. Thanks!

I will let you know if anything problems come up as I continue using it.

The xs directory is generated by the scripts xsbuilder/source_scan.pl and
xsbuilder/xs_generate.pl. You need to install ExtUtils::XSBuilder to get
them working, but you can just copy over the xs directory from 2.0b8. There
are no changes

Gerald

P.S. Keep the discussion on the list, others might run into the same
trouble...
