Hope to start this sometime this weekend

Not sure about names...

Probably start with James AI and org.apache.james.ai but happy to
change if there's a consensus for another choice. If anyone has an
opinion they'd like to share, mark one or more boxes with an X...

(This is just a POLL, not a VOTE. Results are not binding. Everyone is
encouraged to express their opinion.)

Business Rules (Drools,...) or Correlation (Esper,...) AI, even if
sometimes close/overlapping with Machine Learning, could be implemented
later on.

So having a top AI with ML under makes also sense to me :)

yep - AI (all caps)

i'm not familiar with widely used abbreviations for machine learning
but AI is widely used

yep

Hi Robert,

Just to be sure, ai stands for "artificial intelligence"?

If I understand well, we have for now the api/base/crypto/standard
projects under mailets.

>> * repackage (into org.apache.james.mailets.ai.ml.classic ...?)

I was thinking that complex ai functions will not-only be implemented
with mailets, so in the long run it may become a separate project. At
first sight, I would have gone to something like
org.apache.james.mailets.ml.classic (or simple instead of classic).

[1] What kind of other ai (expect the machine learning) are you expecting?

[2] Do you think an separate ai (or ml?) top-level james project will
come one day.

Answers/comments to [1] and [2] will help me to mark boxe(s).

Hi,
My answer on poll:

[ ] James _____________________________
[ ] James AI
[X] James AI Mailets
[ ] James Learning Mailets
[ ] James Machine Learning
[ ] James Machine Learning Mailets
[ ] James ML
[ ] James ML Mailets

Tks,
