DOM Configured files do not rollover

I have a subclass of FileAppender. I override the rollover method to
rename the existing file using a tmestamp. I..e, current.log becomes
yymmdd-hhmmss.log. This has been working for months.

But we switched to using the DOM configurator and all of a sudden the
rename (Java) call fails. If I use the exact same subclas of
FileAppender, but setup witht he Property configurator the rename works
fine.

I am not using the async appender.

Any ideas?
