ClearCase to SVN conversion
I have searched the web and found some old posts concerning the conversion from ClearCase to SVN, but nothing recently. Does any know of a good way to convert from ClearCase to SVN which will keep history, tags, branches intact? I am looking to convert many projects that have close to 5,000 files each.
Thanks
Rich

I have used the svn importer provided by Polarion with PVCS VM... the
tool has a provider for ClearCase. It is designed to maintain all the
history and logs, tags etc. It worked pretty well except I had to break
up some large projects when I exported. Not sure how well the ClearCase
provider works. Give it a whack.

Hi Rich
There were a couple of relevant talks at SubConf:
MM4: Lutz Dornbusch, Polarion: Zero Downtime Migration to Subversion
http://www.subconf.de/fileadmin/PDF_Dateien/SubConf/SubConf_2008/Vortraege/L
utz_Dornbusch-Zero_Downtime_Migration.pdf
MM5: Robert Cowham and Neal Firth, Vizim: Migrating ClearCase to Subversion
http://www.subconf.de/fileadmin/PDF_Dateien/SubConf/SubConf_2008/Vortraege/R
obert_Cowham_and_Neal_Firth__Madrid_.pdf
Both were well received from what I saw, but I think our approach covers
more options - but then I would say that :)
Regards
Robert
