It appears that mailing list subscriptions are currently broken. This was reported in the Kudu Slack chat room by Markus Pilman, and I have been able to repro with my personal account.

I tried sending messages to dev-subscribe@kudu.incubator.apache.org and user-subscribe@kudu.incubator.apache.org and got no reply email.

I also tested dev-subscribe@hbase.apache.org and got the same result (no reply). This was from my personal gmail account.
