Tomcat service update parameters

I've a tomcat windows service created using Tomcat6. The 'Path to executable' mentions it as C:\myapp\bin\tomcat6.exe. I am in the process of upgrading tomcat6 to tomcat7. I tried to update the tomcat windows service to update the path to executable to C:\myapp\bin\tomcat7.exe The following command does NOT result in an error but is not updating the path. The path remains the same (tomcat6.exe).

tomcat7 //US//WebServiceDGW --Install="C:\myapp\bin\tomcat7.exe"

Any inputs are appreciated.
