--- Comment #14 from atwood <dr...@yahoo.com> ---
I successfully replicated the document table issue when rendering in OpenOffice
with this configuration:

Product: Open Office Version 3.4.1
AOO341ml(Build:9593)-Rev1372282

Platform: Mac OS X Version 10.7.4
Using comparison from Microsoft Word 2011 Version 14.2.4

Procedure I followed:

1. Downloaded the "document1.docx" file created by Saranya in the post above
2. Viewed the document in Microsoft Word and in Open Office
   a. replicated the formatting differences with the tables.
   b. did not replicate any margin issue as described in original report
   c. did not replicate the issue with borders being different
3. exported the files to PDF using Microsoft Word and Open Office and confirmed
the same issue with the table cell formatting by view in Preview

Specifically the table cells width was smaller in Open Office versus Microsoft
Word.

Importance: The impact on the spacing of the tables was greatest at higher
fonts(specifically font size 22), where it caused an increase in cell height
and word wrapping. This would cause issues with documents where spacing and
formatting were important as it may cause an image or text to move to the next
page.
