[jira] [Created] (SQOOP-1093) "Controlling Parallelism" section
defines parallelism algorithm in a confusing manner
Abraham Elmahrek created SQOOP-1093:
---------------------------------------
Summary: "Controlling Parallelism" section defines parallelism algorithm in a confusing manner
Key: SQOOP-1093
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SQOOP-1093
Project: Sqoop
Issue Type: Bug
Components: docs
Affects Versions: 1.4.3
Reporter: Abraham Elmahrek
Priority: Minor
The algorithm provided as an example is from the IntegerSplitter. When using Oracle on primary keys, the BigDecimalSplitter will be used which has slightly different functionality.
>From mailing list: "Split lengths are defined by (max - min)/(# mappers) and whatever is left is tacked on at the end."
