for application runing on http://127.0.0.1:8080/myapp/main.html
keep server name as 127.0.0.1

My bad. It should have said "hosts file".
On a *NIX system, this is /etc/hosts.
In Windows, its hidden somewhere in system32\drivers\... or somesuch,
but is also called "hosts" in a directory "etc".

Huh, strange.
Have you tried using 127.0.0.1:8080 instead?
You may have more luck using your LAN address to talk to tomcat, e.g.
192.168.10.20:8080 (of course, you box will have a different address).
Also, make sure your host file contains such an entry:
127.0.0.1 localhost
