[jira] [Created] (CAY-2022) Add Implementation-Version to jar file MANIFESTs

Mike Kienenberger created CAY-2022:
--------------------------------------

             Summary: Add Implementation-Version to jar file MANIFESTs
                 Key: CAY-2022
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAY-2022
             Project: Cayenne
          Issue Type: Improvement
    Affects Versions: 4.0.M3
            Reporter: Mike Kienenberger
            Assignee: Mike Kienenberger
            Priority: Minor

Joe Baldwin is looking for an easy way to identify the current cayenne version from code.

If we add Implementation-Version to each jar's MANIFEST file, then code such as the following works.

         Object object = new CayenneRuntimeException();
        System.out.println("Implementation Version: " +
object.getClass().getPackage().getImplementationVersion());
