Are,

"wrapped" is typically used in deploy.wsdd when you write your own impl for your web service. It is a convenience thingy. See http://www.burtongroup.com/weblogs/annethomasmanes/archives/cat_apache_axis.html for more information.

If you confirm this to be a bug I would be happy if you re-opened the issue :-)
Maybe I will take a look at the code and figure out a solution but I can't promise anything.

Cheers,

The following comment has been added to this issue:

     Author: Tom Jordahl
    Created: Fri, 15 Oct 2004 6:29 AM
       Body:
I think I see what the problem is. The rules for deciding (in SymbolTable.java) what is wrapped and what is just doc/lit probably don't take in to account that if there is more than 1 part, the extra parts could be header parts. And there is only (really) one parameter part, so the service can be (should be) treated as wrapped, with arguments unwrapped in the function signatures.

This is not an unreasonable request. Are, do you want to go in to the code in wsdl.symbolTable.SymbolTable.java? The function in question is getParametersFromParts() around line 2000 (yikes!). It may be pretty hard to determine that certain parts are headers.

Or we could just wait till WSDL 2.0 where we have an attribute that indicates operations are "wrapped" style and everything is document/literal. But that may be a while. :-)

Why is style="document" the desired behavior !?
My "problem" is that I prefer style="wrapped". Not a big issue though.
