backslash in build.properties

           Summary: backslash in build.properties
           Product: Ant
           Version: 1.5
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
          Priority: Other
         Component: Core
        AssignedTo: ant-dev@jakarta.apache.org
        ReportedBy: axiom@axiom.f9.co.uk

This one stumped me for a little while.

It appears that \ are treated as escape character in the
property file. Thats fine, but maybe the error message could be a little more helpful when things
go wrong.

Below is the stack trace

Thanks
again,
Colin
