[jira] Created: (IVY-698) Promote Published Artefakt
Promote Published Artefakt
--------------------------
Key: IVY-698
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/IVY-698
Project: Ivy
Issue Type: New Feature
Components: Core
Reporter: Victor Volle
Some people already have asked for a "promotion" feature on the mailing list (s. e.g. http://www.nabble.com/Status-promotion-td14251285.html and http://www.nabble.com/Changes-in-published-ivy.xml-file-td13803061.html).
What I would need is the possibility to change status of an artifact that already has been published. So to change the status in a published ivy.xml file from e.g. integration to milestone.
I know it would be possible to (i) patch the ivy.xml file or to (ii) do a overwrite="true", but with
(i) I would really sidestep Ivy and with
(ii) I might accidentially replace the artifact, and not only change the ivy.xml.
