webfolders put (No such file or directory)

I have slide compiled from cvs (updated sometime last week) with tomcat 4.1.
The only configuration changes made were
in /WEB-INF/web.xml under <!-- Uncomment this to get authentication --> 
I uncommented.
and in /Domain.xml under <!-- Uncomment the following line to give all 
permissions to principals have the root role--> I uncommented.

I can connect and authenticate as root with MS webfolders on win2k.
however when I try to put a file, I get:

contentstore/files/032adv-h.pdf (No such file or directory)

plus the trace, I thought unnecesary

I would guess that this is a pretty standard setup and webfolders is a 
pretty standard client; therefore I must have missed something. I would 
be very thankful for any help

just another update; the problem was with webfolders, if you update to 
sp1 for ie6 everything works fine. sorry for the mail

just an update: I am able to put files without problem with davexplorer, 
and I can replace a file with webfolders, I, only, cannot create a new 
file with webfolders.
