[jira] [Created] (HDFS-3567) Provide a way to enforce clearing of trash data immediately

Harsh J created HDFS-3567:
-----------------------------

Summary: Provide a way to enforce clearing of trash data immediately
                 Key: HDFS-3567
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-3567
             Project: Hadoop HDFS
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: name-node
    Affects Versions: 3.0.0
            Reporter: Harsh J
            Priority: Minor

As discussed at http://search-hadoop.com/m/r1lMa13eN7O, it would be good to have a dfsadmin sub-command (or similar) that admins can use to enforce a trash emptier option from the NameNode, instead of waiting for the trash clearance interval to pass. Can come handy when attempting to quickly delete away data in a filling up cluster.
