can't add --spam with sa-learn after upgrade

hi!

i'm using 3.1.0 version on FreeBSD 5.4 and with MySQL 4.1.14.
My problem is that i can't add spam and ham after version upgrade.
i can reach the database, do sync or expire, so the db and the connection
works fine..
I attached the error log, I hope it helps..
Also attached the related files content at the bottom.

As an experiment, can you try using gunzip on spam-F7Cvj62XkCXJ.gz to make sure
it's a valid gzip file?

After that, what happens if you do run the decompressed file thru sa-learn?
# sa-learn --spam spam-F7Cvj62XkCXJ -D
