No news.

The release plugin didn't appear to work. Any ideas? Maybe try the DOS command window instead of cygwin.

Ok to close this one.
3. JDO release candidate https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-723
Looks good.
One question: should we provide sources for the api release in case someone wants to use e.g. Eclipse debugger with the javax.jdo classes? Probably only the JDOHelper sources would be of interest.
Group id: javax.jdo
Artifact id: jdo-api
Version: 3.1-rc1
Ready to go!
Once we release, there are several things that need to be merged back to trunk (manually so as not to put back pom changes that are only for the branch).

Attendees: Michelle Caisse, Matthew Adams, Craig Russell
Agenda:
1. JDO release candidate https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-723 - Closing a sonatype repository.
Using Windows command line fixed one problem. But closing the repository is still an issue. Can't find the JDO project repository so can't close the repository. The 3.0.1 project is there but not the 3.1-rc1.
Looking at repository.apache.org, the jdo release temporary staging repository is visible (using apache credentials). So it appears that the release is ready for a vote.

Matthew Adams also joined the call.
And I've added references to the maven staging repository where we discussed the 3.1-rc1 release.
Apologies.
Attendees: Michelle Caisse, Matthew Adams, Craig Russell
Agenda:
1. JDO release candidate https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JDO-723 - Closing a sonatype repository.
You can see the staging repository here: https://repository.apache.org/index.html#welcome using the left navigation bar "build promotion: staging repositories".
Log in with your Apache credentials (login, not email address) and find the jdo-023 staging repository.
The jdo-api release currently doesn't include sources, just the jar and javadoc. Matthew suggests tools might be able to give more information to users if we include the source jar. May be possible to reconfigure the api/pom.xml to generate the source file alongside. Maybe the javadoc jar as currently packaged is really all we need? But what about debugging the bootstrap JDOHelper code? AI Michelle see if the release can be redone to include the api source jar.
