User access control in subversion

 Hi,

Is it possible to allow different registered users of subversion to have
access to different files/directories in a repository. I need to be able to
stop some users from lookin at certain files and directories and I wondered
if this is possible and how to do it.

many thanks
Hugh

Yes?

This is documented, see my signature where. It depends on the access method
though.

Uli?

I presume you mean after performing a hotcopy?

I think this will only work reliably if you restore your repository to
an identical OS, CPU architecture, and identical versions of all
libraries SVN uses. The dumpfile is designed to allow you to migrate
between versions & architectures safely & cleanly.

Any particular reason I can't back up a respository by making a gzip'ed
tarball rather than using svnadmin dump?
