   You should not switch to the root user when you are installing PIP packages. You only need that if you want to install additional `apt` level dependencies.
   
   Please take a look at the latest (released with 2.0.2) documentation about building the images  where you have all necessary examples and explanations: https://airflow.apache.org/docs/docker-stack/build.html
