get JSP buffer

Hi,
    I've been trying to get at the images that are displayed by our JSP
application in the browser window in order to send them as a mail
attachment.
It seems that the only way to copy the buffer and store it somewhere is by
writing a custom tag.
    We want to send the displayed images( the buffer ) as a mail attachment.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    The custom tag handler required seems to be simple. I've also looked at
the mailer tag libraries.
