[jira] [Commented] (GIRAPH-482) Graphing Hooks

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GIRAPH-482?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13558408#comment-13558408 ]

Eli Reisman commented on GIRAPH-482:
------------------------------------

Jakob did this, and it was really useful. and although he's been busy he probably still has the config/scripts you could look at for Graphite if you want some example code?

On a bunch of worker nodes, or reporting too often per time unit, the server machine (which was a dedicated machine, not a worker in the cluster) would sometimes lose connections or stats data points, so some ballpark defaults to avoid this, or some wiki pages about how to set up the metrics/config your Graphite or Ganglia server might be appropriate to make this useful for people too.

> The metrics library we are using has build in support for reporting to Graphite and Ganglia. We should add modules for this to make it easy for users to plug in.
