ConvertUtils conversion fails for some doubles, floats and booleans

ConvertUtils fails to convert null values to doubles and floats, since the
String constructor of the Double and Float classes throw NullPointerException
instead of NumberFormatException.

It also fails to convert "y/n" and "1/0" to their corresponding boolean values,
while ConvertUtils in Commons BeanUtils handles this.
